My love and History of spades
Supposedly the original game of spades is a descendant of the game of whist, but i believe personally that it came from hearts, being that they are basically the same, and/or bridge. From my studies and research, I found spades game was invented around 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Spades game has been played since then in bar rooms, homes, jail cells, backyards, and even family gatherings just for fun, and as well as other places i left out, just about everywhere from the time it was invented untilthe introduction of the Internet, which made it much easier to find a game of spades game online at any time of the day, the game was primarily played only in the United States. A lot of spades is done in Germany now a days thanks to American troops who went over there and taught others. now we have more countries playing which brings so much more skill levels and competition, which i love. When it was played internationally, it was where there was a large concentration of American citizens. Like many games, the interest in the spades game seemed to expand rapidly with the ability to play online. The other factor that has lead to wider play is the introduction of spades tournaments. There seems to be something about the competition of a tournament that helps spread the popularity of a game. Just think of what has happened with another card game, poker, over the past decade or so, or even blackjack. I just love the thrill of being able to log on to a bunch of numerous sites, and be able to play anytime of the day with so many different players. I love spades with a passion, because i have such a great mind when it comes to cards. my other love is poker, but that is another article in the future.the spades gameis such a competitive game where bags can make or break ya. A lot of users though shouldn't be playing cause they don't have a clue in life about cards, but if it makes them happy, so be it. my great grandfather taught my dad to play, who taught me and soon i will pass this great game to my children. i am new to Spadester and am loving every minute of it, whether it is for real money or for fun, i just love the adrenalin. thanks for every one reading. Happy spading.
